#8: A memory of Korea

Hello, I'm Emika.

I went to Korea from August 7 to 27. The purpose of going to Korea was to learn Korean language and culture. For three weeks I spent my time in Daegu where was one of the Korean cities. I took part in a short-time study and training program.

By the way, now "IAAF World Championships in Athletics" is held there. Look at the picture, I went to the Daegu stadium.

I have been interested in Korean language and culture for about three years, and I have wanted to go to Korea. In this program, there were not only Korean language classes but also culture classes. I experienced making Korean food, Tae Kwon Do, wearing traditional clothes and so on. These were all very interesting.

In this period I went to Seoul and Pusan and Kyongju too. In Seoul  I did shopping, in Pusan I saw the sights of sea, in Kyogju I visited a temple of a world heritage.I ate many Korean food. Korean food was almost so spicy, but I felt Korean food was very delicious.

This summer, I could spend delightfuly. I want to go to Korea again, and learn Korean language more!
Oh, of course I'm going to study English more hardly too(^^)

  3. Emika,
Hi, this is Ms. MacGregor. What a fantastic trip. Did you go in a group or by yourself? Did you have a homestay? If not, where did you stay? Is the food in the photo called bi-binba? I will go to Pusan next month, so please give me some advice about what to eat and teach me a few Korean expressions I can use on my trip.
    Yoroshiku!

  4. Hello. Thanks for your comment, Ms.MacGregor.
I went to Korea in a group. Including me, 6 girls participated in this program from Gakushuin University. We stayed at a dormitory, not homestay.

The food in the socond photo is bi-bimba! I made it in Korean culture classes. It was so delicious.

I advise you to eat seafood in Pusan. But I also advise you to eat Korean style barbecue.

Krean expressions...I'm sorry. I can't express Korean pronunciations in alphabet. So if you don't mind, ask me directly.
    Have a nice trip!!!
