Blog#15: The nigt rainbow

Hi, I'm Ayako Kawanaka.
Did you have a good winter vacation? I worked at Hie-shrine as "Miko". It was very valuable and pleasant experience for me.

Today, I want to talk about " The night rainbow". This is a rainbow produced by the light of the moon at night. It is so rare natural phenomenon. This time, the phenomenon was taken in Ishigaki-Jima, Okinawa.
"The night rainbow" is the phenomenon appears to be refracted by water droplets in the atmosphere of the moon light. It is so difficult to take a photograph because the moon light is week compared with the sun light.
It's so mysterious, isn't it? If you didn't know, you might be pass without look it. Sometimes, you should stop and look up the sky. If you will lucky, you might find interesting things.
I want to see "The night rainbow" someday. When I find it, somehow I might be feel likely  nice.

Blog#15: The Peace

Hello,I'm Emika. Surprisingly this is the last blog, so I will do my best! Then I want to introduce a new merchandise. I found it when I read a newspaper's economic page. The Yomiuri Sinbun reported it in January 12.

*"The Peace" will come out next month. "The Peace" is a new merchandise of JT(Japan Tobacco). It is a luxury tobacco. It cost 1000yen to buy a case. A case has 20 pieces of tobacco. Its fragrance seems to be taken seriously. It will be sold from February 1. Formely "Peace Infinity" was the most expensive tobacco. It cost 470 yen for a case. JT said " We reward consumer's needs. They need high quality tobacco irrespective of its price."

I have never smoked, but I was very surprised to read this article. How rich it is!

Blog#15: New Station!

Hello. I'm Ayako Muto. How you spent a winter vacation?
 I ate many thing , Osheti, Ozouni, Oshiruko, etc. And watched TV, Kouhaku, Hakone Ekiden, etc. I had a good time at home.

   Today I talk about a new station for the Yamanote Line.  I got to know this news in Asahi newspaper. I was very surprised to see this. JR East Japan will build Yamanote Line's new station  between Shinagawa Sta. and Tamachi Sta. Becouse Shinagawa sta. is 2.2 Km from Tamachi Sta. This distance is the most longer in the Yamanote Line's stations. Around the new station, will build a business buildings, so it is expected that economic activation. the construction of the new station will start next year. In a few years a new station will be completed. Please drop in by all means.

Blog#15:Price competition of Gyudon

 Hello, I'm Mio. Today, I try to introduce a news in which I get interested.
 January 9, Matsuya Foods informed that they increase the price of a medium-sized Gyumeshi(a bowl of rice topped with cooked beef and vegetables[Gyudon] of Matsuya) from 320yen to 280yen. The price is the same as the one of Sukiya(one of the Gyudon chain stores). Receive this offensive, they expect that Yosinoya Holdings will increase the price of Gyudon too.
 The president of Matsuya Foods said, "With the present economic conditions, most of customer think the price is the most important." He plan to target women, old people, family and so on.

 Sometimes I use these Gyudon chain stores. I think they are easy to use for many people because the price is very cheap. Especially, many students need to practice  economy, so they often use these stores. By this price reduction, I guess many people are glad. But these companys do price competition, if  the conpetition becomes intense, the management of each company will be affected.
 After this, I want to observe what each company does.  

no hokou lesson 12/21

Dear Class,

There will be no hokou lessons on 12/21 as I said. Please have a good holiday and if you have a chance to watch the movie "White Christmas," which was my plan, please do!

See you on January 16th. That will be our last class. We will have an exam in January during exam period. I am now thinking of having a speaking test. I will give you the details on the 16th after we have 3 film presentations. Presentation groups - please bring the DVDs to class and your handouts and notes. Let us enjoy the last class together to the full.

Blog#14: My favorite CM

Hi, I'm Ayako Kawanaka. Today, I want to introduce my favorite CM(commercial).

I love CM very much. It is so short, but a lot of massages and informations are concluded.

The best CM I like is "Soft Bank"'s CM. It is so popular as "Otousan sireas" . May be most of people know a white, cute dog.  He is a talent dog from Hokkaido. (His real name is "kai".)

I love this one very much. In Ichijyoutani, Otousan and his family discoverd the hiro of Showa's special effects, Ultra-man. Surprisingly, Ultra-man deliverd mail. Otousan's wife, Okasan said that "Great. In spite of his youth, he deliver mail for the earth."But, as you know, Ultra-man could not stay the earth over 3 minutes. When his chest lump on and off, he suddenly pedaled bicycle too fast. Otousan ran after and said "飛べばいいじゃないか (The best and simple way is fly away)" I like this comment because it makes me smile.

CM has full of devises, so it is so fun to see. I'm looking forward to see more variations of this series.

Blog #14: Chojuku

Recently, it's gotten cold. So, please take care of yourself in this cold season. By the way, in this blog I want to introduce my favorite TV commercial. I like "chojuku" 's cm. Well,  "chojuku" is a bread which is sold by PASCO. In this work, Satomi Kobayashi is chosen to be the image character.
I like the scene that she make appetizing dishes by using "chojuku" bread. In the woods she is cooking for little guests. A little twin sister eat her dishes. I feel relaxed by watching this scene.
Also I pay attension to these dishes, they look like so delicious. So I want to make it at home. PASCO's homepage has those recipes and we can watch the cm. If you want, please check it!
