Hi, I'm Ayako Kawanaka.
September 6 to 9 was seminar camp. I belong to modern Japanese history seminar. We went to Oku-chicibu in Saitama. Oku-chicibu is a high elevation, so there is so cool place.
This is a Japanese-style hotel "Yatsugawa-kan" we stayed. The hotel is famous for the taste seasonal nature of Chichibu and fragrant mountain village of wood outdoor bath.
This is the dinner. This is so luxurious, isn't it? We were able to eat rare wild vegetables and fish, take only here. It was really delicious and we were really full.
We have presented here one by one. I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the people of the hotel.
Before breakfast, I taked a walk around the hotel. I found the river near from the hotel. I love a river very much, so I was looking for a while.
"Okuchichibu" is wonderful place. There has a rich nature and beautiful scenery. We could be a very pleasant and meaningful seminar camp. I'm looking forward to next year's camp!

ReplyDeleteSeems you had a fruitful time away and a nice onsen stay besides. Was the bath tub made of cedar? I love the smell of a cedar bathtub. In any case, I think you had a nice stay and escape from Tokyo with your friends. Good memories.

I like rivers too. Have you ever been to Nagatoro in Saitama? It is famous for going down a river. If you come to Saitama, please go there!

For Ms.MacGregor: Yes, It was so happy time. I think that the bath tub made of Japanese cypress. Oku-Chichibu is so good place. We can relax with veautiful nature around us. This trip was so good memory of me.
